Ascender supports the following locales for UTC-friendly date and time information.

Ascender automatically sets the locale preference based on the user's browser settings. For Safari, Internet Explorer, and older versions of Chrome as well as FireFox, this is handled automatically. 

For newer versions of Chrome (v32 and later) and FireFox (v32 and later), Ascender uses the language preferences set from your browser's language settings. The browser lists the user's preferred languages and selects the first in the array as the user's top choice, which Ascender uses as the preferred locale. This means that you can change your browser's language and change your Ascender locale preferences (although you may need to reload/refresh Ascender in your browser to see this change.)
